Abstract

This screening paste includes a solvent which is not readily absorbed into a green sheet material for a multilayer ceramic substrate. The slow or delayed absorption into the green sheet eliminates screening voids in through-holes or vias and electrical opens due to paste pullout on conductive lines screened on a green sheet. The improved screening paste is described by the following composition: Material Wt. % molybdenum/ceramic 85% organics (resin + additives) 4.8% TEXAN0L* 10.2% * Trademark of Eastman Chemical Products, Inc.
