Movable Terminal Stand and Work Surface

A tilt-adjustable display terminal stand which is movably mounted on casters and which has a horizontally extendable work surface is shown

Fig. 1 is a pictorial view with the tiltable display head support removed to reveal interior mechanical details. The mobile display stand 1 is provided with a plurality of casters or roller wheels 2, as shown. The stand is basically a U- shaped base unit with its front open to allow easy approach by a seated operator. The top surface 3 has a large main aperture 4 in which fits a front hinged movably pivoted support leaf 5. HInge 6 and leaf 5 are best seen to advantage in the right side elevation view in Fig. 2. The support leaf 5 is held in position by two retractable bolts or pins 7 (only one of which is visible in the figure) which may be manually inserted in one of the plurality of slots 8 in support block 9 mounted within the cabinet in the back portion, as shown. An access door 10 permits the operator to position the pin 7 in the appropriate slot 8 to adjust the tilt angle of the leaf 5 to support a CRT display head in the appropriate desired orientation.

Removable side extension leaves 11 are housed in recesses 12 along the inner walls of the U-shaped base member 1 when not in use.
