Abstract

The link 10 is provided with a molded stiffening rib 12 which is offset from the planar portion of the rib 16. This improves the rigidity of the link such that it may withstand compressive forces as well as tensile forces.

Non Adjustable Link for Automated Designs

The link 10 is provided with a molded stiffening rib 12 which is offset from the planar portion of the rib 16. This improves the rigidity of the link such that it may withstand compressive forces as well as tensile forces.

The attachment of the link may be accomplished by means of snap-fit tangs 14 which may deflect inwardly to permit insertion into a hole in a mating part.

The tangs may also be deflected to allow removal of the link for repair. The link is non-adjustable in length and, therefore, must be molded or manufactured in a plurality of lengths. The advantages of this arrangement are such that the cost savings is significant.
