Abstract

To bond an aluminum bracket to a polyimide flat cable, an organic sealer is first used. The sealer may be Hysol CG4226/H3487, which has been thinned with ethylene glycol mono ethyl ether. The sealer is applied to the metal bracket by a dip and spin process that realizes a very thin layer. Thereafter, an organic adhesive, such as Hysol 9330, is used to bond the sealer coat to the flat cable.
