Base Efficient Fuse Holder

A holder for retaining fuses or similar devices is constructed by means of formed wires, rather than continuous metal or plastic material.

The wires 2 are secured to a mounting board or substrate 3, crimped at a position 4, shown in the end view of Fig. 2, and bent over, as indicated at 5, into the desired holding configuration (Figs. 1 and 3). If the retained fuse or other member need not be elevated above the surface of the board, the crimp 4 may be omitted. In respect to the fuse-holding application, it should be noted that the retaining wires 2 may also be used as electrical contacts.
