Allow User to Specify Field by Using Either Field Name or Field Number

Field name correspondence problems are overcome in applying different setups to different files through providing an operator with the capability of specifying field names in addition to specifying field numbers.

Fields can be sequentially ordered in the same manner as records with the exception of direction (horizontal vs. vertical). Also, fields can be named in alternative manners (alphabetic and numeric). Once both the ordering capability for fields and the capability of alternatively naming fields are provided, the ability to prepare universal setups is present. An operator need only specify field numbers in preparing setups, and will no longer have to worry about having common field names among a plurality of files.
