2X Condenser Adjustable Slit

An adjustable slit for a projection printer used in exposing photoresis provides for uniform light across the slit.

Curved slit opening 1 is ad]ustable along its length by controlling the location of the upper flexible edge 2 by 15 differential screws 3 and adjustable arms 4. All of the screws 3 are accessible for adjustment by hand or screwdriver while the exposure lamp is on so that the amount of slit opening needed to provide uniform light at each point along the slit can be changed as the lamp intensity varies with age. The configuration of flexible edge 2 maintains a smooth edge as it is conformed by screws 3 and arms 4 to the amount of slit opening required.
