Self Resetting AC Powered Latch

This is a high-speed, self-resetting or destructive read-out latch whi is AC powered and which has application in high speed pipeline operations.

This latch has three major components~ (1) a multiplex or logic stage 10 consisting of a 2-input current injection logic AND gate, (2) a superconducting storage loop 12 consisting of a three-junction interferometer and the control line inductance of two interferometers of the self-gating AND (SGA), and (3) the SGA
14.

Once data in storage loop 12 has been detected by SGA 14 during the power ramp at the beginning of the machine cycle, that data is automatically reset to zero, at the same time the storage loop is being activate to accept new data. This eliminates the need for latch command circuitry so that new data may be injected directly from the logic net into the storage loop 12.
