Purge Page Function Advisory/forced Mode

A paging method is described to save significant system overhead by avoiding unnecessary page-outs.

Purge page 'Forced' Mode causes the subject range of pages to be unconditionally paged-out.

Purge page 'Advisory' Mode (call specified) tells the virtual memory manager to page-out the subject range of pages only if real storage is considered to be constrained.

Unnecessary page-outs are therefore avoided when advisory mode is specified.
