Abstract

This article describes a mesh installed in a developer of an electrophotographic machine, placed so that the developer mix must flow through the mesh before reaching the development zone. The mesh serves to prevent large particles from reaching the development zone by catching them or causing them to break up. The large particles can cause a print quality defect to appear on prints.
