Abstract

The AC power cord retainer 1 (Fig. 1) holds the power cord 2 (Fig. 2) in position even with extreme power cord strain. Power cord retainer 1 holds power cord 2 in position by becoming a stop between the grip portion 3 of the power cord and the rear inside wall of the louver opening 4 in an enclosure 11 for electronics equipment. Installation of the power cord retainer is accomplished by force applied to the retainer at points 5 and insertion of tabs 6 into louvers 7 and 8 until slot 9 captivates louver edge 10.
