Fan Retainer -- 2-point Mount

This system provides an economical method of mounting a small fan (with or without guards) without using screws, washers and nuts.

Wire 1 is a single piece wire form which may or may not have a guard, item 6, welded to it. Wire 1 is inserted through two mounting holes in frame member 2, the clearance holes in fan 3 and fan guard mounting holes of bracket 4. All parts are secured by pushnut 5, the barbs of which bite into wire 1. Nut 5 is installed and removed with pliers.
