Abstract

As the use of the calendar function of the PROFS Program Product grows, so does the need for further enhancements to this function, such as searching calendars or sending calendars to users at other locations. In the current application there is an program which allows the user to bypass certain calendar menu screens. This enhancement would allow the user to specify a "disk" option to that program which would leave the requested calendar information on the user A-disk, instead of displaying the information on the screen as usual.

Calendar "Disk" Option

As the use of the calendar function of the PROFS Program Product grows, so does the need for further enhancements to this function, such as searching calendars or sending calendars to users at other locations. In the current application there is an program which allows the user to bypass certain calendar menu screens. This enhancement would allow the user to specify a "disk" option to that program which would leave the requested calendar information on the user A-disk, instead of displaying the information on the screen as usual. Using this feature a user or an installation could write a series of front end programs which could search for certain events on the calendar or format the calendar to be included in a note or document for example, thus allowing the customer to make enhancements to the calendar function which are deemed necessary for their particular application.
