Tester Cable Adapter Handle

Positive retention of tester adapter cables to a product under test, with quick release is shown in the Figure.

The bevel 1 along the bottom 1/3 of each gripper 2 and 3, and overhang 4 allows the operator to easily remove the adapter cable from the product under test. A slight upward rotation, with the top 5 as pivot point, will release the adapter cable.

Two screws hold each gripper 2 and 3 in place. A strain relief for the bulk of wires coming into the handle 6 to be attached to the interface card 7 is also held in place by one of each gripper's screws. Four screws are used to hold the interface card 7 in pl

The wires are connected to the interface card 7 via mass terminations. These terminations can be slipped on and off of the rows of pins on the interface card, making card replacement a simple task.
