Testing Printed Circuit Boards

It is known that one can test the quality of the lines on a printed circuit board by applying a high current pulse to the lines and subsequently examining the effect this pulse had on the lines.

It has been found that an improved defect test can be accomplished by applying a series of pulses to the circuit lines prior to examining the effect of the pulses. The series of pulses need be separated in time so that any heating by the pulses is not cumulative.
