Abstract

This automatically locking bar latch working in conjunction with closing of the module case 12 locks the module 14 into the case 12. When the case is closed, the interior surface 12a of the top of the case contacts the cammed surface 16 of the bar 18. This imparts a forward motion to the bar 18. The forward motion is directed by pins 19 which slide in slots 20 of the bar. This forward movement of the bar 10 is adequate to lock the substrate 14 in place under the lip 22 on the bar 18. To disengage the latch and remove the substrate, the end 24 of the bar 10, is pushed sideways. This push sideways causes the bar to slide backwards guided again by the pins 18 sliding in the slots 20.
