Exclusive Capture of Storage Error Data

This arrangement prevents transmission of bad data while protecting the bad data for collection and storage.

When a UE condition is detected by the memory controller, the bad data is placed in a data trap register with a bit indicating the existence of the UE condition. The data is then complemented and recomplemented and the results placed in the complement/recomplement data register. The complement/recomplement algorithm corrects the data in error, the corrected dat placed in the memory and the UE bit is turned off to allow access to the data. However, a flag bit is set to prevent overwriting of the data in the trap register until the error data in the trap register is collected and stored for later analysis.
