Abstract

To facilitate the pick-up of individual screws by a robotic arm, while eliminating one movement required of that arm, a channel- like guide member, supporting screws by their respective heads, serially feeds the screws to a transversely pivotable shuttle member driven in alternate directions, through I 90Œ, by a suitable actuator.

To facilitate the pick-up of individual screws by a robotic arm, while eliminating one movement required of that arm, a channel- like guide member, supporting screws by their respective heads, serially feeds the screws to a transversely pivotable shuttle member driven in alternate directions, through I 90OE, by a suitable actuator.

Each end of the shuttle includes a feed slot adapted to align with and receive a screw from the end of the guide member, and, moving through 90OE, to translate the screw from an initial vertical orientation to a horizontal position at one of two receiving stations located below and at either side of the guide member.
