Attaching and Removing Electronic Component Carriers

Electronic component carriers may be quickly attached or removed from frame support members by a bonding technique utilizing "Velcro" tape components.

The hook tape is bonded by any conventional bonding means to the main frame and the loop tape is bonded by the same or equivalent bonding means to the component carrier. When attachment of the component carrier to the main frame is desired, the loop tape bonded to the component carrier is engaged with the hook tape bonded to the main frame. This bonding has been found to be more than adequate and can withstand large vibrational forces. Removal is accomplished by simply withdrawing the component carrier from the main frame causing the loop and hook tapes to part company.
