This is a method of metallizing polymeric fibers by oxidation-reduction deposition of palladium, to improve the triboelectric and conductive properties of the fibers so as to enhance their use in electrophotographic processes.

The polymeric fibers, normally in the form of a brush, are cycled at least three times in a SnCl(2) bath, and distilled water rinse, which results in a palladium deposit on the polymeric fibers of sufficient thickness for use in electrophotography.
