Abstract

Magnetic core structures 11, 12, 13 are mounted in metallic thin foil or MYLAR* diaphragm 15. Diaphragm 15 forms the bottom of the head housing 16, which is pivotally attached to head support arm 19 at pins 18. The top of the head housing is lid 17, which carries terminal block 14. Leads from the magnetic coils of each core 11, 12, 13 are connected to leads from the machine electronics at block 14. Air may be introduced under pressure into head housing 15, 16, 17 for more positive disk contact. * Trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co.
