Dyeless Liquid Typewriter Ink

A dyeless nonbleeding nondrying liquid typewriter ink utilizes insoluable pigments such as carbon black in a polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer vehicle.

The vehicle system consists of the modified polyvinyl pyrrolidone polymer (eg., CANEX* V-216. An insoluable pigment such as carbon black is dispersed in the vehicle system. By varying the proportions of components, the thixitropic and other rheological properties of the inks may be manipulated to conform to a variety of specifications. The following is an example of black typewriter ribbon ink having high viscosity: Constituent Percent by Weight GANEX V- 216 45% Cronozoil R-9 (Ohio Apex Corp.) 22% Carbon Black (Regal 300 R - Cabot Corp.) 33% * Trademark of General Aniline and Film Corporation.
