Write-once devices 10 can be used to select the load impedances Ra, Rb...Rx for logic matrices 12.

The characteristic impedance of any line 16 in a logic matrix 12 is a function of many variables that are not determined until the logic function of the matrix is picked. Of course, optimum performance of the matrix 12 is determined by terminating the lines 16 in their characteristic impedance. For this purpose a number of resistor values Ra, Rb...Rx are contained in the logic matrix for each termination and each is isolated from the matrix 12 with the write-once device 10. After the function of the matrix 12 is selected, the lines 16 cam be correctly terminated by burning out the write-once device 10 that will couple to the line 16 the resistor Ra, Rb...Rx which most closely terminates the particular line 16 in its characteristic impedance.
