Abstract

This circuit provides for a fast recovery of the read amplifier in a magnetic recording system. As illustrated, there is a serial connection between a magnetic head 10, a diode matrix 11, a DC coupled preamplifier 12, a differentiator 13, and a read amplifier 14. By positioning the differentiator 13 after the preamplifier 12, the bias voltages and thus the threshold levels appearing across the capacitive coupling components of the system are not effected by transient signals sensed by the head 10.
