Abstract

When a terpolymer of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and an organic acid in the formulation shown below is used in the charge transport layer for dichroic photoconductors, greater adhesion is exhibited, the terpolymer is more soluble in polyvinyl carbazole than previous additives, and flexibility is improved.

Charge Transport Layer for Dichroic Photoconductor

When a terpolymer of vinyl chloride, vinyl acetate and an organic acid in the formulation shown below is used in the charge transport layer for dichroic photoconductors, greater adhesion is exhibited, the terpolymer is more soluble in polyvinyl carbazole than previous additives, and flexibility is improved.

When differences in dichroic ratio are found in dichroic photoconductors, the photoconductors with the terpolymer show higher ratios than those with other additives.
