Abstract

Apparatus is shown for supporting a corona wire 10 in a corona housing 12. The corona wire is provided with a molded end piece 14 which is engaged by an arm 16. Arm 16 is pivotally mounted and an external spring member 18 is provided to hold the arm in place and to provide the proper tension for the corona wire. For replacement of a corona wire, a cover member 20 is pivoted to the open position, (shown dotted in Fig. 1) and spring member 18 is disconnected so that arm 16 can be pivoted out of the corona housing. The end piece of the new corona wire is then attached to the arm 16. The arm is pivoted into the up position and the spring member 18 is reconnected. Cover member 20 is then replaced.
