A positive feedback path consisting of resistor R6 and dual diode TE prevents the loss of information in this latch, when a particular hazard condition occurs.

The hazard occurs when the clock line goes low with the data line; that is, transistor TA turning off before transistor TB turns on. That cannot occur in this circuit, because transistor TA remains on biased by the current through the dual diode TE. Furthermore, as the data line goes high, while the clock line is low, the output will still remain high because transistor TB is also biased on by the dual diode TE.
