Abstract

This wire matrix printer comprises a plurality of hollowed wires forming a wire print matrix. An ink reservoir is connected to one end of each hollow wire through flexible tubing. The other end of the wire is normally positioned away from a platen supported paper. An armature engages each wire and, when activated urges the wire forward against the paper. Relatedly, the wire is filled with an ink of viscosity suitable to be retained within the wire under continuous gentle pressure from the reservoir.
