Abstract

The present procedure provides improved thickness control and uniformity for the deposition of a glass slurry. In this procedure a substrate 10 is mounted on a rotatable holder 12. A glass slurry nozzle 14 is disposed at a 45 degree angle to the surface of the substrate 10. Optimum thickness control during the deposition of the glass slurry 16 is obtained by rotating the substrate 10 at 90 degree intervals during each pass or movement of the substrate 10 with respect to the spray head 14.
