Abstract

Alignments in the direction of signal deflection to align a plurality of ink-jet nozzles in a multinozzle ink-jet printer are provided by superimposing on the signal voltage Vl a biasing voltage V2 by a potentiometer P. N designates the ink-jet nozzle; T the transducer causing the regular break-up into droplets D; and L the deflection plates charged to fixed potentials. The charge-plate C voltage is: VC = R1V2+R2V1 over R1 + R2 = K1 V2 over Correction voltage + K2 V1 over Effective Input Signal.
