Abstract

An ink jet nozzle comprises mating body and cap sections 10 and 12. The body 10 is tubular, having a central bore 11 for a tube 15 and a threaded section 16 adjacent one end with a reduced pilot section 18 at the end. The cap has internal threads 20 mating with the threads 16 and a recess 22 to receive the pilot section. An orifice 24 is aligned with the opening of a sapphire nozzle 26, which is located in the recess by a plastic sleeve 28.
