A member is selectively positioned within slotted guides in accordance with the angular position of three sets of cams, each cam having an associated adjustable cam follower mechanism to effect precise positioning of the member.

L-shaped member 11 is mounted for vertical motion between guides 13, 15 and is movable up and down along racks 17 and 19. Located between guides 13, 15 is cam shaft 21 containing cam assemblies 22, 23, and 24 rotatable by motor 25, belt 26, and pulley 27. Cam follower assembly 29 is affixed to member 11 and contains cam follower assemblies 32, 33, and 34, each having adjustment screws 35-37, 36 and 37 associated therewith. Upon rotation of cam shaft 21 to a first position, the dwell segment of cam 24 contacts its associated cam follower
34. Precise adjustment of member 11 is effected by the adjustment of adjusting screw 37. Upon rotation of cam shaft 21 to a second position, the dwell segment of a second cam controls the position of member 11, the corresponding adjustment screw again controlling precise positioning thereof.
