Magnetic Bubble Module Double Density

A module package 10 for a magnetic bubble memory is illustrated, which provides a doubling of the bit density in a module package.

The module density is achieved by use of a single magnetic plate 1 centered in module 10 to provide a bias field. By mounting chips 14 on a MYLAR* carrier 16, the chip assembly is mounted back-to-back on the bias magnet 12. The input/output lines are run in series allowing for fewer pins and thereby doubling bit density. * Trademark of E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Co.
