Abstract

Box-like filter 10 includes a porous inner layer of fibrous material 11 and an intermediate layer of fibrous material 12. A layer of activated charcoal particles 13 is sandwiched between layers 11 and 12. The entire filter box 10 is surrounded by a supporting felt layer 14. Air containing both dirt particles and ozone is delivered through inlet chute 15 and passes through the wall structure of the box, leaving behind the dirt particles in the layers 11 and 12. The charcoal layer 13 eliminates the ozone.
