Abstract

Described is multifrequency receiver (MFR) logic required to produce IBM 7770 Audio Response Unit (ARU) digital code, from a pair of analog parallel tones AB and A'B'. This 256-character code, ABA'B'/ARU is a compatible superset of the 64-character ARU code produced by a MFR from the pair of analog tones AB and AB' in the IBM 7770. For the 64-character ARU code, see IBM Systems Reference Library Form A27-2706-0, Fig. 11. This code is referred to here as ABB'/ARU. The ABB'/ARU code is a compatible superset of the 16-character ARU code produced by a MFR from the tone pair AB, or AB/ARU. The AB/ARU code occurs in ABB'/ARU code when B is identical to B'. The ABB'/ARU code occurs in ABA'B'/ARU code when A is identical t (Image Omitted)
