Spring-biased grid wires are installed without exceeding the yield strength of the spring finger material, by utilizing a rocker located under the spring at one end of the grid wire.

Grid wires 11 are installed with minimal tension over spring fingers 13 and
15. After all wires are in position, screws 17 are tightened to apply the desired tension to the wires.
