Abstract

A power supply circuit board 10 is provided with low-voltage, high-current output terminals 11 and 12 and low-current control terminals 13. High-current terminals 11 and 12 are provided by relatively large conductive bars 14 and 15, which are secured to the circuit board 10 by screw terminals from capacitor 16 engaged by nuts 17. Bars 14 and 15 structurally support a plastic insulating molding 18 at one end of the circuit board 10. Bar 14 also serves as a direct electrical connection to input diodes 19 from transformer 20, whereas bar 15 is grounded.

Bar 14, being made of heavy cross section, thermally conductive material also provides both structural support and heat sink functions for the diodes 19. Plastic end block 18 has a housing receiving groove 21 about its periphery, and includes a molded projection 22 that provides both the plug for low-current output terminals 13 and a barrier ridge between the high-current terminals 11 and 12.
