Abstract

This propagation structure utilizes disk-shaped apertures 10 in a layer of permalloy 12 which is adjacent a magnetic sheet 14, in which bubble domains BD can be moved. In response to the rotating magnetic field H in the plane of sheet 14, linear propagation of the bubble domains is achieved, since the domains prefer to travel along the outside perimeters of the disks rather than the air gaps which exist at the intersection of adjacent disks.

The present structure can be utilized with all types of magnetic domain materials, including amorphous magnetic bubble domain materials.
