Abstract

In a magnetic print hammer actuator a strip residual 10 is threaded through the sides of a bobbin 12 and over the face of the magnetic stator core 14, after which the ends are bonded to provide a closed loop. The bobbin 12 is secured on the core 14 by a pin 16 and has clearance 18 on opposite sides of the core, to permit the residual 10 to be rotated periodically by a customer engineer to prevent it from wearing through.
