Abstract

In the drawing, a basic TTL circuit comprising transistors T1, T2, Schottky diodes D1, D2 and resistors R1, R2 and R3 is depicted. The shunt clamp D3, which may be a Schottky diode, or a silicon diode, clamps the "UP" level and thereby improves circuit speed. The diode D3 may be integrated in the basic cell of a monolithic device fabricated by large-scale integration techniques.
