Lockable Drafting Table Cover

In order to prevent accidental loss or exposure of confidential graphic information from drawing boards when the drafting person is elsewhere, a cover 1 is installed over the drafting table 2. This cover is made of an opaque, water repellent, fire resistant material. A steel cable 3 is run through seams 4 around the edges of the cover 1.

When the cover is to be locked in place, the tails 5 of the cable are pulled so that two thimbles 6 on the cable are brought together and padlocked. When the cover 1 is in place the cable 3 is tight and runs under the drafting table 2, so that the cover is securely fastened to the drafting table.
