Abstract

Shown in the figure is a recursive equalizer for adding a complementary equalization to the processing of a signal, which has already been submitted to an equalization on the leading lobes of the distorted pulses. This recursive equalizer minimizes the effects of the trailing lobes of the distorted pulses, by subtracting the intersymbol interference contributions extending over the N previous baud times from the preequalized received signal.
