Abstract

This basic T2L circuit, comprising grounded emitter T2, T1, R1, R2 and R3 will have better down-level noise tolerance by raising the voltage of the emitter of T2. For +V greater than 1 volt, the threshold band is closer to ground than +V if the emitter of T2 is grounded.

Modified T2L Receiver

This basic T2L circuit, comprising grounded emitter T2, T1, R1, R2 and R3 will have better down-level noise tolerance by raising the voltage of the emitter of T2. For +V greater than 1 volt, the threshold band is closer to ground than +V if the emitter of T2 is grounded.

Resistors R5 and R6 define the 50-150 mv shift of the emitter voltage of T2 to improve the down-level noise tolerance. T3, R4 serve as a buffer stage to have better output down-level or fan-out capability. The Schottky barrier diodes between the collector and base of T2 and T3 serve to improve overall AC performance.
