Solder for Sputtered Molybdenum Film

A molybdenum substrate is fluxed within organic flux containing dimethylamine and hydrochloric acid in a methanol vehicle.

An indium brazing solder of low-melting point, such as 2% Au, 70% In; 28% Bi is applied to the fluxed area and locally heated.

The solder connection has excellent strength and can be reflowed on the same location. Other related indium solders will operate in a similar manner.
