Drivers of this type, with related receivers, may be dotted together on the same busline and any driver may send data to any receiver. Only one driver may be active at a given time and both ends of the busline must be properly terminated. 2. Each driver has high-output impedance when inactive. 3. The input of each driver is compatible with T2L circuit technology.

Driver Circuit

The high-power driver depicted in the drawing drives long bus-lines and has the following properties: 1. Bdirectional line driving capability. The driver circuit shown in the drawing is comprised of three portions.

The first portion includes transistors T1A, B, C and T2 with resistors R1, R2, R3, and is a TTL circuit.

The second portion includes transistor T3 and resistor R4, and is a buffering stage.

The third portion is a parallel arrangement of four transistors T4A, B, C, D, with associated antisaturation Schottky barrier diodes, and performs the high- power collector driving function.
