Transaction Statement Dispenser

A transaction statement dispenser includes a card hopper and its associated feed mechanism transport, a print station, an incrementer and an eject transport.

Card feed is accomplished with a cam operated from a magnet on shaft 1. Timing for feeding a card is derived from an electromagnetic sensor on shaft 1 which controls the feed cam, not shown. The card is fed through pinch rollers on shaft 2 which are continuously running, and positioned by leading edge engagement with the increment roller pinch point.

At this time the incrementer 3, which consists of a slipclutch and detent disc, operates via the incrementer magnet and positions the card at the first print location. Four lines, of say 32 characters per line, are available for printing.

Printing is accomplished through the use of four print wheels 4, four print magnets 5, and four print hammers 6. Timing for printing is controlled by two emitters 7 mounted directly on the print wheel shaft. One emitter controls character timing and the other controls the home pulse.

The print wheels 4 may be alphanumeric, with 64 printable characters per wheel. Ink roll 8 applies ink to print wheels 4.

Once printed, the transaction statement may be fed into the S-fly wheel, not shown, of a currency transport path for delivery thereby into a stack of currency bills for dispensing to.a customer.
