Abstract

A method to improve the alignment of the buffer stripe domains in a bubble lattice is described. The method involves the intentionally tilting of the (111) axis of the bubble domain material to produce an in-plane component, which facilitates the alignment of the stripe domains parallel to each other.

Stabilizing Buffer Domain Stripes in Bubble Lattice File

A method to improve the alignment of the buffer stripe domains in a bubble lattice is described. The method involves the intentionally tilting of the (111) axis of the bubble domain material to produce an in-plane component, which facilitates the alignment of the stripe domains parallel to each other.

The direction of the lattice translation coincides with that of the (111) tilt. The tilting of the (111) axis may provide a component in the plane of the film as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, or it may provide a component in a direction going into or away from the plane of the film.
