Currency Cartridge

This is a cartridge for loading currency documents into the feed throat of a document feed mechanism.

Cartridge 10 is manually stacked with currency bills on edge between weight 22 and dispense door 12, and cover 30 is closed and locked. Cartridge 10 may then be transported to a cash dispensing device and keyed or locked into position, with bottom 18 of the dispenser resting on base 24 of the cash dispenser and against the hopper guide 28.

Dispense opening door 12 is then removed and weight 22 driven forward by belt 20 with the leading currency documents fanned downward by incline 14, so as to be urged into feed throat 16 between hopper guides 26 and 28, where they may be gripped and separated and transported by belt drive means not shown. Belt drive 20 is an integral part of cartridge 10 and is driven by a motor, not shown, which forms part of the cash dispensing device.
