Abstract

To facilitate testing, the emitter-follower off-chip driver circuit of a large-scale integrated (LSI) chip may incorporate a tester driven inhibit function independent of the chip logic. This function is commonly performed by collector dotting at the base node of the off-chip driver circuits.

To facilitate testing, the emitter-follower off-chip driver circuit of a large-scale integrated (LSI) chip may incorporate a tester driven inhibit function independent of the chip logic. This function is commonly performed by collector dotting at the base node of the off-chip driver circuits.

The logic circuit depicted in the drawing performs both logic and independent inhibit functions.

Transistor T1 is electrically isolated from T2 and T3 and is connected as a diode to perform an inhibit function when driven from a tester.

Transistors T2 and T3 provide logical AND inputs.
