Abstract

A slab-like block 1 of flexible material is provided with a frame-like opening 21 in which an optical component, not shown, to be positioned can be accommodated. Four pairs of cylindrically shaped holes 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 9 and a not shown pair lying in plane 10 connect opening 21 to four outer faces of block 1. In addition, gaps 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20 lying in the plane 10 are provided, connecting the outer sides of the peripheries of the holes to the respective faces of the block. The holes of each pair are arranged in close proximity to each other, forming small bridges 11, 12, 14 and one, not shown, of flexible material. These bridges serve as joints that permit the inner portion of the block surrounding frame-like opening 21 to be tilted about two axes perpendicular to each other.
